The Japan Karate Association of Manitoba is proud to announce that as of June 1st the organization has opened a not for profit family Karate and wellness center at 491 Madison in Winnipeg. The club has been opened by students of Philip Dingman Sensei, one of the original Karate pioneers who brought Karate to Winnipeg more than 50 years ago.
The clubs mandate is to provide traditional Karate training for the whole family. With a Tiny Tigers program for young children and all levels classes for members from young children to older adults the programs are designed to allow everyone to enjoy the practice of traditional Karate.
The programs mandate is to be open to anyone that wants to train, prices are kept low and classes family oriented and friendly. The club is also a member of the Japan Karate association Canada and participates in national and regional competitions as well as camps and seminars.
